NBWIB is a student led initiative representing women and those who are underrepresented and, or historically excluded from the field of business.

Our mission

We are committed to empowering and encouraging women and those who are underrepresented and/or have been historically excluded from the field of business to achieve success and define what that means to them. We strive to provide opportunities for people to connect and support each other and form connections. We host events, and workshops that contribute to the personal and professional development of our members. 

Our vision

As a student-led initiative, NBWIB seeks to provide an inclusive and supportive platform to enable everyone’s personal and professional development. We will provide these opportunities to students through professional development events, opportunities for soft skill development, social events and our annual conference and case competition! NBWIB aims to continue encouraging and inspiring everyone to grow.  We focus on connecting like-minded individuals; in order to create a network of, not only resilient and determined leaders, but leaders that support inclusivity, equity and diversity.

Territorial acknowledgement

NBWIB operates gratefully on the Territory of the Wolastoqiyik People. This recognition is a small piece of our collective commitment to Truth & Reconciliation. In particular to bring justice for murdered and missing Indigenous women and girls across Canada.
